Corded VS Cordless power tool

The power tool industry is going through a lot of change, specification, innovation and creativity. The dynamic changes of the power tools have brought about a revolution in the construction, woodworking, and other different areas. Now we can do everything easily where power tools are required. Different designs, features and the diversified uses of powertools have made our life easy and comfortable. The wide ranges of power tools can be classified basically in two ways: the corded power tools and the cordless power tools. The uses, features and the construction of the corded and the cordless power tools are different from each other. There are many differences between the cordless power tools and the corded power tools. Here is a brief discussion about the two basic type of power tools.

Corded power tools


Corded power tools are considered as the traditional power tools. Corded power tools run by the electricity and generally heavier than the cordless one. Corded power tools are powerful power tools which are used for the heavy duty work. The main benefits of using the corded power tool are you don’t have a fear of running out the power anytime. Most of the corded power tools are not portable, and you have to be always depended on the electricity wherever you go with the corded power tools. But you can use the corded power tools for any type of work accurately.  


Cordless power tools


Cordless power tools are the new addition to the power tools industry. The Cordless power tools are very popular for their maneuver, flexible and handy nature. The cordless power tools are not that heavy because of its battery or motor power. The cordless power tools run by the power of the battery and motors. The lithium-ion-battery has bought about a revolution in the cordless power tools. The battery lasts longer and gives the better performance. Cordless power tools are extremely handy, and you can take it anywhere you go easily because of its lightweight features. But cordless power tools are not suitable for the heavy duty performance. Moreover, if your battery charge becomes empty, you have to wait for a couple of hours to charge the battery. It may kill the most valuable time of the workers. So, cordless power tools are not suitable for the heavy duty and long performance at all.

So, these are the main advantages and disadvantages of the cordless and corded power tools. People have started a long debate about which power tool is the best and which one they should buy. But the differences between the two power tools are very clear. If you want heavy duty performance, you need to buy the corded power tools. If you don’t frequently work with the power tools and your requirement is limited you should go for the cordless power tools. Sometimes the preference depends on which type of work you want to do with the power tools.
